History
The carnival began when a traveling fair stopped to repair its oldest carousel and discovered nobody was in a hurry to leave. Its makers built permanent workshops behind the stalls, preserving the fair’s wonders while agreeing that the night sky should never be drowned in noise.
Economy
Artisans restore amusement machinery, make miniature theaters, and sell finely built toys. Modest admission to working rides pays for maintenance, while the grounds and the nightly lantern walk remain open to the surrounding community.

Joined in Show Year 23 · The Lantern Unpacking. The Still Fairground Auto Show joined the tour with a display between silent rides, ending in a gentle lantern walk instead of a noisy finale.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road
“We can speak softly here and still be astonished. The Quiet Carnival has saved us a little wonder.”
In this galaxy · The possibilities we carry
The road offers several beautiful imagined endings. Iridella asks the visitor to keep one small detail rather than trying to possess the entire sky.
Here the road offers versions of every arrival: a different light, another turn, a castle seen from a window they never opened. Iridella watches a possible journey shimmer alongside their own. For a moment she wishes she could keep them all.
Starlite’s windows hold the places they actually shared. Their limits make them precious. Iridella closes the atlas on the roads not taken with a gentle hand, leaving room for a future visit. Choosing a memory does not require denying the others.
