Journey world · Field guide
Rainbow’s End
Colored light connects distant places across an open sky.
The bright road is an invitation, not a promise about tomorrow.

History
The first colored span appeared between two hill towns after rain, lasting long enough for a child to roll a toy car across. Residents learned to build small anchoring platforms at its ends, keeping the luminous passages dependable without making them permanent.
Economy
Bridge keepers publish opening windows and maintain the anchored landings, earning modest passage fees. Color workshops make dyes and optical films, while ordinary ground ferries provide reliable trade whenever the sky routes are closed.
Rainbow Road IAS
Joined in Show Year 20 · The Seven-Color Rain. The Color Bridge Crossing joined the tour when its smallest vehicles traversed a newly stabilized span and the larger cars met them by the ground route.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road
“This span is an invitation while it lasts. We will cross together and remember the light afterward.”
In this galaxy · The possibilities we carry
The road offers several beautiful imagined endings. Iridella asks the visitor to keep one small detail rather than trying to possess the entire sky.
Here the road offers versions of every arrival: a different light, another turn, a castle seen from a window they never opened. Iridella watches a possible journey shimmer alongside their own. For a moment she wishes she could keep them all.
Starlite’s windows hold the places they actually shared. Their limits make them precious. Iridella closes the atlas on the roads not taken with a gentle hand, leaving room for a future visit. Choosing a memory does not require denying the others.
