History
Scattered island harbors once kept incompatible tide tables, making long voyages an exercise in guesswork. A network of coastal road stations began sharing observations, and the islanders eventually agreed on one ocean chart that is revised at every port.
Economy
Pelagia trades preserved seafood, sails, and long-range weather services across its many islands. Coastal mechanics earn their reputation repairing salt damage, while pooled harbor fees maintain rescue boats and freshwater cisterns.
Rainbow Road IAS
Joined in Show Year 5 · The Open Passage. The Coast-to-Coast Relay introduced the tour to Pelagia when a succession of island crews ferried its first convoy safely around the planet.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road
“The next harbor is beyond the water’s curve. Buddy Blue has left us a safe place to begin.”
In this galaxy · The passage we share
A duck-built ferry takes the smallest vehicles while the tide reveals the submerged showground. The company discovers that safe passage means making a route for everyone.
At the water’s edge the convoy discovers that the crossing is too narrow for everyone to rush aboard. A little duck-shaped ferry keeps returning for the smallest travelers. Starlite waits with his wheels above the tide while Iridella helps arrange the queue.
The waves erase every tire mark on the beach. The crossing remains because someone comes back for the next passenger. Iridella draws the ferry into the atlas before she draws the palace; a world is remembered by its kindness as much as by its grandest building.
