History
Suspended water spheres originally drifted freely across the plains, leaving towns unsure where their next water supply would be. The first sphere keepers discovered gentle anchoring currents and began tending seasonal clusters without breaking their surface skins.
Economy
Keepers rent measured volumes of clean water to farms and recover the remainder after filtration. Local lens makers use small stabilized spheres for inspection equipment, paying royalties that support the communal anchoring stations.

Joined in Show Year 21 · The Gathering of Spheres. The Pearl Canopy Show joined the tour when the keepers arranged a sheltered display beneath floating reservoirs, cooling the cars without a single roof.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road
“That floating sphere is holding its own small weather. We can watch it change from the court.”
In this galaxy · The passage we share
A duck-built ferry takes the smallest vehicles while the tide reveals the submerged showground. The company discovers that safe passage means making a route for everyone.
At the water’s edge the convoy discovers that the crossing is too narrow for everyone to rush aboard. A little duck-shaped ferry keeps returning for the smallest travelers. Starlite waits with his wheels above the tide while Iridella helps arrange the queue.
The waves erase every tire mark on the beach. The crossing remains because someone comes back for the next passenger. Iridella draws the ferry into the atlas before she draws the palace; a world is remembered by its kindness as much as by its grandest building.
