History

The clear palace began as a winter reservoir whose keeper carved rooms into the thick surrounding ice. Later residents added insulating air chambers and shaded roofs, turning it into a year-round public building while preserving the original water store at its heart.

Economy

Frostmere exports cold-storage designs and finely made insulated fittings. Palace visits and winter workshops fund the ice keepers, who carefully separate structural ice from the clean reservoir used by the surrounding settlement.

Joined in Show Year 12 · The Clear Ice Season. The Palace Courtyard Concourse joined the tour when removable insulated mats allowed its cars to enter without warming the palace foundations.

A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

Iridella’s arrival · Frostmere

A moment on the road

“The clear wall owes its beauty to careful work. Frostmere has a warm welcome behind the cold glass.”

In this galaxy · The pause we need

Starlite’s warm window frames an immense quiet sky. Iridella opens a book, and nobody is required to improve the silence.

The white road extends farther than anyone can judge. Inside Starlite, the windows turn the cold landscape into a sequence of quiet pictures. Iridella opens her book but spends a long time on the same page. Nobody asks her to hurry.

A guide can rest and still be a guide. The convoy learns to leave a little silence around one another. When they start again, the glacier has changed almost imperceptibly, and the atlas gains a memory of waiting rather than another race to the next view.
