History

The first slow-turning platform let a neighborhood share one excellent view across the plain. Families added seats, lamps, and carefully balanced structures, eventually creating districts that turn so gradually their residents mark the day by the scenery arriving at the window.

Economy

Carousel exports low-speed drive systems and beautifully repaired mechanical amusements. Visitor rides and rotating-room rentals pay for bearing maintenance, with residents guaranteed quiet intervals when the public platforms stop.

Rainbow Road IAS

Joined in Show Year 15 · The Lantern Turning. The Full-Circle Salon joined the circuit when the tour displayed its cars on a broad rotating garden and let the whole neighborhood come around to see them.

A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

Iridella’s arrival · Carousel

A moment on the road

“Keep the same seat for a moment. Carousel will bring us another view without asking us to rush.”

In this galaxy · The joy we keep

Twuck takes a miniature orange track through a passage too small for the convoy. His return reminds the travelers that play can discover something serious planning missed.

Twuck disappears beneath a streamer and reappears at the head of a tiny parade. The serious route briefing dissolves into laughter. Iridella folds the map for a while; the next gateway will still be there after the celebration.

They collect no grand revelation in the plaza. They share a bright, unnecessary afternoon. Later, when the journey asks more of them, Starlite will remember this sound: little wheels, fluttering ribbons, and a gathering happy simply to have arrived.
