History
Nine clearings originally served as meeting places for communities scattered beneath the dense canopy. A shared trail agreement kept each clearing open and prevented any one settlement from extending its buildings into the forest routes used by all the others.
Economy
The nine communities rotate market days, trading fruit, shade-grown crops, and repaired tools along the same circuit. Local guides and nursery crews earn visitor income, dividing a fixed portion equally among the trail stewards.
Rainbow Road IAS
Joined in Show Year 20 · The Ninth Clearing Festival. The Nine Stops in One Day show joined the tour as a distributed gathering, with each clearing hosting the kind of vehicle its residents most wanted to see.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road

The old route has become a garden. Roots lift its paving stones and new leaves lean into the space where the map says the convoy should pass. Patricia kneels beside the youngest growth. Starlite waits for her decision.
They take the longer way around. Iridella crosses out a neat line in the atlas and draws a generous curve. The map is more truthful with the correction. A living world is allowed to change the road that visits it.
