History
Long winters once left its scattered settlements feeling farther apart than the map suggested. Residents built a chain of sheltered night stations beneath the auroral path, turning journeys between communities into opportunities to share meals and watch the changing sky.
Economy
The stations support guide crews, textile makers, and specialists in low-temperature electrical systems. Carefully scheduled visitors help pay for heating, while shared forecasts keep sightseeing traffic from overwhelming the smaller settlements.
Rainbow Road IAS
Joined in Show Year 16 · The First Returning Aurora. The Sheltered Night Run joined the tour with short stages between warm stations, letting the convoy see the lights without turning the journey into an endurance test.
A fictional calendar kept by the Rainbow Road IAS. Year 1 begins with the first passage through the sandcastle on the beach in 1999; years count completed journeys inside its pocket of eternity, not elapsed Earth years. Local seasons identify each world’s first gathering. These histories belong to Leonida Larry’s imagined multiverse.

A moment on the road
“There is a lit window beneath the aurora. We can admire the sky with our hands around something warm.”
In this galaxy · The pause we need
Starlite’s warm window frames an immense quiet sky. Iridella opens a book, and nobody is required to improve the silence.
The white road extends farther than anyone can judge. Inside Starlite, the windows turn the cold landscape into a sequence of quiet pictures. Iridella opens her book but spends a long time on the same page. Nobody asks her to hurry.
A guide can rest and still be a guide. The convoy learns to leave a little silence around one another. When they start again, the glacier has changed almost imperceptibly, and the atlas gains a memory of waiting rather than another race to the next view.
